Now It means your overtime makes you a most cost effective slave. IN THE FUTURE The words “trial period” will take a new salary free meaning. WHEN I WAS YOUNG A part time job got you a new car. Now A part time job gets you a radio for your ten-year-old car. IN THE FUTURE The radio is now incorporated in your pedometer WHEN I WAS YOUNG The president played gulf. Now The president is in the gulf. IN THE FUTURE The gulf will be named after him WHEN I WAS YOUNG Gasoline was 24.9 Now Gasoline is 2.49 IN THE FUTURE Well you need no gas for your pedometer. |
| AFGHANISTAN I CAN’T IMAGINE WHY
First the Russians kill off the Afghan (legal) government then we help the (religious zealot) rebels kill off the (reasonably friendly to us) Russians then we help the (new) rebels kill the (legal) interim government and then we help ourselves kill off the entrenched terrorists (kind of sideways) and now the new government of Afghanistan wants to kill off all non believers I CAN’T IMAGINE WHY I find the whole thing contrary what I was taught as a grade school student in the land of freedom and fair play. ARE WE BECOMING WHAT WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST? |
| ONCE THERE WAS A TIME Once ther was a time and a place where men where men and weasels were little fury creatures that didn’t run corporations. In that long past time before cell phones, before the inter net, even before touchtone phones or color TV. A wondrous time that started with the Renaissance and ended in the Nixonian dark ages. In this golden age men of vision men of honor men who took a chance and saw their dreams come true where heroes were heroes and MR smith went to Washington not some political super stars. Men that excelled in their chosen vocations they tamed continents invented machinery and reformed governments. Everyone who excelled in this time period wasn’t necessarily honorable there were some incredibly infamous people over the years. But for every dark soul or greedy businessman or petty dictator there were hundreds of brave men that brought them down. The children were taught the axioms of fair play and respect for their fellow man especially those of lesser talent that were in their charge. Morn for the nation we once were for it shall never come again our innocence is gone our honor is tarnished and our tongues have split to emulate the serpent in the garden. |
